Roald Dahl was born on September, 13th was only 3. During the second World War, he was a fighter pilot in Nairobi. Then he was sent in the USA where he met C. S. Forester who made him write and Ian Fleming, the author of the « James Bond ».
He began to write a lot of novels, for children or for adults. His most famous works were « Charlie and the chocolate factory » which had been adapted to a film and « Kiss, kiss » a short story for adult.
He married Patricia Neal, an a of 1916 in Llandaff, in Wales from norvegian parents. He lost his father and his sister while he merican actress, in 1953. They had five children. They divorced in 1983 and Roald Dahl married later Felicity d'Abreu-Crosland.
He died in 1990 at his home from a rare blood disease: he was 74.
